We love connecting with one another here!

There are many different ways for you to find your place among our community and build lasting relationships and friendships that will encourage and inspire you.  If you are looking for an inclusive place to belong to, and participate in, we invite and encourage you to learn more about us.

We would like to invite and encourage you to explore the worship service offerings, educational settings and rewarding parish participation opportunities listed below to discover Trinity Episcopal and how you can grow with us and we can grow with you.

Ages 3yr - 8yr

We offer Sunday School for children during the first part of the 10:30am worship service. Our curriculum is based on the Beginner’s Bible-preschool/early grade edition, by Zondervan . This curriculum helps the children learn about the Bible in a creative, fun way. They rejoin the 10:30 service after the Peace so they may participate in the Holy Eucharist with their parents.

Ages 8yr - 14yr

We offer a program for our middle-school aged youth to help them learn to serve as acolytes, to take part in liturgical services, and to be prepared for Confirmation.  We also offer youth outings which make for fun experiences and the chance to make new friends.  Our Saturday June trip to Kaufman stadium to see the Kansas City Royals provided a very memorable experience.  Our lead chaperons are required to complete the course on Safe Guarding God's Children provided by the Episcopal Diocese of Kansas.

The Episcopal Diocese of Kansas is nationally recognized for excellence in supporting the youth in our diocese through exciting education and camp offerings throughout the year.

Those programs include:

Mega Camp - A week long summer camp at Camp Wood in the Flint Hills of Kansas for youth in grades 3 - 12.  The Episcopal Diocese of Kansas has held camp there, the first week of June, for over 70 years. Camp Wood has a one-of-a-kind view, sitting atop the Cottonwood River Valley with the Flint Hills as a backdrop. It is a beautiful facility made up of 868 acres. See more about our beloved Camp Wood here:  Camp Wood is in the beautiful Flint Hills, on Hwy-50 between Newton and Emporia, near a town called Elmdale. Click on this link for a google map.  The camp is full of activities, education and service offerings.  Scholarships are available.  Please check out the following links for more Mega Camp information:

Miqura - Weekend campers read the entire bible aloud in teams in 72 hours!  A fun and educational experience: Grades 6 - 12.

These are only two of the many youth program offerings Trinity Episcopal youth enjoy.  For more information we invite you to check out the Diocesan Youth Ministry website:

College Students

The Episcopal Diocese of Kansas has an active presence at all six of the Kansas Board of Regents public universities which provide our parishioner students with a "home away from home" where they are welcomed and  the unique spiritual needs of our children during this phase of their life are nourished and cared for.  Please click the links below to see how our Diocesan youth are cared for while away from home at school:

Armed Forces and Peace Corps

Trinity Episcopal Church recognizes and sincerely appreciates all who sacrifice while serving our Nation in the Armed Forces and the Peace Corps.  We pray to God for their safe return home.  Periodically, we will post sermons and events from Trinity Episcopal Church in Atchison which are accessed on this website.

Adult Forum

Adult forum typically meets between services from 9:00-10:00am on Sunday mornings. A variety of interesting study topics include books, the Bible and Book of Common Prayer and current issues in the Episcopal Church.  The study is enhanced with audio visual presentation on the 60" screen in the Parish hall with enhanced sound capabilities.

Faith Flix

This fellowship and outreach gathering is held on Saturday evenings, which are announced well in advance, throughout the year.  The casual gathering includes movie style food and refreshments served in our Parish hall.  Participants enjoy watching movies that are always interesting, thought provoking and some times are hilariously funny, for a couple of hours or so on a Saturday night in a very casual fellowship setting.  Many of our parishioners make this their night out at the movies!

Trinity Choir

The Trinity Choir, directed by Choirmaster, Jennifer Stammers, performs during the 10:30am worship service on Sunday mornings from September through May.  We always welcome new members.  During the academic year, we often have students from Benedictine College who join us through participation in our choral scholar program.  If you may be interested or know of someone who maybe interested in participating in this program please contact our office at 913 367-3171 or   for more information.

Bible Study Group

Bible study group at 10:00 - 11:00 Wednesday mornings. Information on the current course of study is posted in our Parish Hall.  Incorporating published books, magazines and other information, along side the Bible makes for a most interesting discussion among participants.  This long standing group is a cornerstone in the life of Trinity Episcopal Church.

Altar Guild

Throughout the church year, the Altar Guild is responsible for the care and preparation of the altars, linens, priests’ and servers’ vestments, brass, silver, candles and flowers.

The Altar Guild operates with a team of two who are on duty for a month at a time. Each month’s team prepares for the Sunday services (8:00am and 10:30am) as well as for special feast day services, and any weddings or funerals that occur. Being a part of Altar Guild is an important commitment, one that provides the opportunity to be an integral part of the worship at Trinity Episcopal Church.

If interested in becoming part of the Altar Guild, please contact the parish office 913 367-3171 or
