Everyone is Welcome

We are glad you are here and want to take this opportunity to extend an invitation to you and your family to visit us in person! At Trinity Episcopal, you will find a church that strives to make a difference in our local community and in the world.  We embrace the acts of service and support and strive to grow in a deeper relationship with God,

our parishioners, our fellow Christians, and all we meet along life’s path.

When you visit us as an individual or as a family, there will be someone near the entrance

to welcome and assist you with any needs or questions you may have.

Wheelchairs are easily accommodated with our chair lift located 15 feet from the parking lot at the

red door entrance on the east side of the Parish Hall.

Our Worship Service

In worship, Episcopalians sit, kneel, stand, sing, pray aloud and pray silently.

Some bow and make the sign of the cross; others don’t.

We use the Book of Common Prayer, The Hymnal and a service bulletin.

These tools are designed to help us worship and pray together, something very important to Anglican Christians.

Episcopal worship calls for the full participation of all the people.

The Prayer Book (and the service bulletin) will guide you in what to do and what to say or sing.

Our people are friendly and helpful. If you need help during the service, please ask someone for guidance.

You are welcome to use the main door on the north side of the church or the red doors visible from the parking lot on the east side. Please come in and there will be someone to welcome and greet you.

A chair lift located is next to our east side double red doors entrance and provides a safe entry for those in wheelchairs, those choosing to not use the outdoor steps, and those in need of a little assistance into our Church and Parish Hall.

Our Parish Hall is quite active and a very busy place!  Our hall serves as the central gathering place for our events and is equipped with large-screen video, enhanced sound, and wireless internet capabilities.

Do you have Sunday School?

Yes!  We have Sunday School for young children ages pre-school through 5th grade. They will meet during the first part of the 10:30 am service and rejoin their families at the Peace, prior to Communion. The Sunday School Curriculum is Godly Play.

We have a Youth Program for our middle school and high school students as well.

Trinity also offers classes and education for those seeking Confirmation in the Episcopal Church.

Our Bible Study meets following the service on Wednesday at 10:30am.  This gathering is conducted in an informal discussion setting in the Parish Hall.

Will I be asked to give an offering?

As a guest at Trinity, you are NOT expected to make an offering. However, if you choose to do so, your offering will be sincerely appreciated. Even the smallest offerings honor God and show Him that you acknowledge His guidance in your day-to-day life. You will never be obligated to make any contribution that you do not feel comfortable with.

Will I have to introduce myself?

We do not ask guests to stand and introduce themselves.  We encourage our guests to share their contact information by placing an information card on the Offertory plate and introducing themselves to someone as they feel comfortable.

May I participate in communion?

We welcome all baptized Christians to come forward to receive communion. If you have not been baptized, we invite you to come forward to receive a blessing.

If you are interested in being baptized, confirmed, or wish to transfer your membership from another Parish, we invite you to please speak to one of our members or to our priest after the service. You may also contact us at office@trinityepiscopal.church or call us at  913-367-3171.

What should I wear?

It’s up to you. Some come dressed in their “Sunday best” while others prefer more casual attire such as jeans and a nice shirt. The same goes for children. We invite you and your family to dress in whatever way you feel is comfortable and appropriate. Come as you are!

If I need prayer, will Trinity Episcopal pray for me?

At the heart of our life as a faith community lies the commitment and responsibility to care for, support, and encourage one another, especially in times of crisis and difficulty. At Trinity Episcopal, we pray for one another in several ways, and invite you to request prayer by the clergy or the parish.

Have Questions? Let us help!
